What I really like is people running from the Marketplace to Kaineng Square, presumably for people coming from Shing Jea Island...

Someone's gotta tell these folks that you can get to Kaineng without encountering any enemies at that point...

Really, you can.

It still amazes me how many people try to rip people off for fake money. It's not real money yet there are constantly people that try to scam people. I was Ascalon City the other morning just cleaning up a few quests I skipped and there was one kid(I say kid because I can't imagine an adult pulling this) that was running people to Piken Square for 500 gold each and another selling Drago's Flatbow for 65K, I whispered the kid selling the bow and asked if it was a new 20/20 version, he said no so I told him it was worth about 25-30K since the new ones came out. His response was "I know but noobs wont" I disconnected and came back about 3 hours later and he was still there trying to sell the bow and other 1K greens for 30-100K. Why do they do this? Don't they understand that they cant buy a car in real life with this fake money? I sell stuff I get at way reduced prices because I don't want to rip people off and I don't want to waste my time trying to sell the junk. This is why I wish that the game had a reasonable price system for weapons from the traders. You can get 40K for a Rago's Flame Staff from another player or 35 gold from the merchant but the game forces you to waste your time selling something.

I think Anet should make compulsory IQ tests before you can access your account. Anyone that scores a negative (which some of these people could...) shouldn't be allowed in.

I agree, regarding green items. I think maybe ANET should consider putting in a Rare Weapons Trader (similar to the rune and materials traders) that will sell greens according to supply and demand.

In that way, players can still deal directly with other players however if they want to sell it quick, at least they will get a more real market rate for the green in question.
